Earlier this week, ?uestlove broke down some of his favorite musical moments from the Late Show With Jimmy Fallon , where the Roots serve as house band. A few of his highlights came when the group pulled a fast one on guests — playing “Loser” when Heidi and Spencer walked out, for instance — in categories he named “Best Snarky Walk-On Songs” and ” ‘Oh No They Didn’t’ Songs.” Conveniently, Fallon himself managed to trick more than a few viewers this week when he impersonated Neil Young … doing a stripped-down rendition of the theme to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air . Trent Reznor Unplugs on Neil Young's 'Bridge School' Compilation

But back in 2006, the Nine Inch Nails brainchild showed up at Neil Young 's annual non-profit Bridge School Concert sporting a beard to deliver an extremely rare unplugged set. Now, NIN devotees can load those stripped down approaches to "Fragile" and "Hurt" onto their iPods with today's release of 'Bridge School Collection, Vol. 4' via iTunes. Aside from Reznor's heartfelt offerings, the compilation also counts live tracks by My Morning Jacket , Band of Horses , Death Cab For Cutie , Regina Spector , Norah Jones and Tegan & Sara , who posted the tracklist on their website. Noting that the Bridge School directly benefits children with severe speech and physical challenges, Sara writes that she and Tegan have repeatedly appeared at the concerts over the years and that it is "an absolutely incredible experience. Gillian Welch's musical partner steps into the solo spotlight with a more boisterous version of the "old timey" sound that he and Welch have perfected. Welch's mountain harmonies and co-writing skills are rarely far away, but Rawlings's reedy, Dylanesque voice dominates, and his proteges, Old Crow Medicine Show, lend an exuberant touch to Ryan Adams's "To Be Young" and Jesse Fuller's "Monkey and Engineer". At the heart of the record lies a stark take on Conor Oberst's "Method Acting" and Neil Young's "Cortez the Killer" that fuses angst with intricate guitar picking, while "Sweet Tooth" is its opposite, a droll, close harmony romp. Blur Win Best Festival Headline Slot at Awards

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News , UK The Sunday night headlining gig at this summer's Glastonbury Festival by reformed Britpop godheads Blur has been declared the Best Headline Performance of 2009 at this year's UK Festival Awards. And, adding a cherry to the band's year, singer Damon Albarn (pictured) also bagged the Festival Fitty gong at the awards ceremony which was held at the O2 in London yesterday (Nov. 19). Blur's headline slot topped what many festival-goers considered to be a vintage Glastonbury. Other headliners at the famed event this year included veteran rockers Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen .
