Filed under: Spinner Interview Moby might not quite rule the airwaves -- and the soundtracks to adverts -- quite like he did a decade ago, but the man born Richard Melville Hall is still tirelessly creating music. In the last 18 months, he's released two albums, the diary of a lost night (2008's 'Last Night') and this year's 'Wait For Me' and toured around the world. The DJ, band frontman and remixer recently visited the UK, where he played an acoustic gig at London's Palace Theatre, and a gig at the Hard Rock Cafe for Q magazine where fans got to choose the songs. he also took the time to answer a few questions from Spinner. Your show at the Hard Rock Cafe -- what made you want to let the fans choose the setlist? Mainly out of curiosity to see what songs people actually wanted to hear. Filed under: Video , UK A decade on from the Moby 's commercial high water mark, 1998's 'Play', Moby has shown himself to be a survivor. And one who shows no sign of letting his foot off the pedal. The downbeat dance DJ who has brought slavery-era spirtuals to the dance generation, remixed the James Bond theme and given Jason Bourne a soundtrack to drive Minis very fast in grey Paris streets, has released two abums in the last year-and-ah-half. The new single 'One Time We Lived' comes from the dance pioneer's newest album 'Wait for Me,' released earlier this year. And you can have a look at the video right here on Spinner after the jump.
