News Ticker: The Killers, Boy George, Nine Inch Nails

 
Photo: Getty The Killers have recruited Elton John for their third annual Christmas single, “Joseph, Better You Than Me.” Elton wrote the chorus for the track, which also features the Pet Shop Boys. Boy George was found guilty of falsely imprisoning and beating a male escort in November 2007. Sentencing in the case will take place January 16th. Producer and 27-time Grammy winner Quincy Jones will deliver the keynote address at 2009’s SXSW festival in Austin, Texas on March 19th. Nine Inch Nails revealed that the 3D film documenting the band’s recent concerts has been scrapped . Trent Reznor said the film would have utilized technology developed by Terminator director James Cameron. (link)
